Below are listed the priorities that will be implemented in April and some indications of plans for the next versions of April

Target priorities

Below are listed the priorities for new release:

• Welcome service. 🎉Because it became the main feature. Implement the welcome images was a challenging for me as I never worked with image libraries, but was worth as April got invited in a lot of server only for that feature, so I'm looking forward to implement more customization to the image and I'm going to make the following changes:

  • Image editor. This feature probably will be breaking change and will require a lot of time and patience, I'm looking forward to drop the support for welcome commands and instead use the dashboard to create welcome images with a lot of more personalization such as custom resolution, add multiple text box and position them wherever you want, add avatar image with 3 different style: normal, rounded and circle and position it wherever you want.

  • Gif.I'm going to add a command that will allow user to change the background of the welcome image in an animation one, this will be probably done after the image editor feature.

  • Separate direct message. This is definitely required as the group of welcome command is getting insanely big, and also because user setup their direct message without enabling the welcome service, making the direct message not working.

  • Support emoji.Currently my database cannot handle emojis, and this result in storing the emoji from the database as a "?", I'm going to definitely change that so welcome message and direct message can use them. This is not for welcome images, as the library itself doesn't support emoji and I can't do anything about it.

Reaction role. 🤩Because it's incredibly popular. This is probably the second most used feature in April bot and I will definitely improve the current status with the following changes:

• Better messages error.Reaction Role group commands are probably the hardest command to setup, as most command errors are from setting up the reaction role, so I'm looking forward to make it simple by adding more reference to the guide and improve error message to include examples.

• Different types.Currently there are 2 types of Reaction Role: normal and removable, I'm planning to add more personalized way to manage the reaction role, for example a member can only pick a role from a message or if user has a role it cannot receive role from Reaction Role.

Analytics. 😲It should have been the primary feature of April bot, but welcome service became so popular that I've abandoned this feature, so I'm going to reallocate some resources into analytics and make the following changes:

• Improve the analytics command.Currently the commands are really poor in fact of data, they only display a partial analysis, I going to change that by adding in deep analysis and statistics of usages.

• Increase commands.There're only 2 commands available for analytics when there could be at least 5 more, so I'm definitely going to add more commands e.g. for reactions added/removed, voice chat statistics, most chatted channel etc.

Autorole. 🤤Because it's awesome. It has always been a reliable feature, probably the simplest functionally that I've implement in April Bot, and I feel like that It could do more, so I'm going to do the following changes:

• Delay. Add some delay before adding a role to a new user.

Leaver. 💔Because it shines as the welcome service. With the welcome service it was the main feature, but it got overlook over the welcome image and lose some functionality, so I'm going to do the following changes:

• Replicate all functionality from welcome service.I'm going to make the leaver service be super personalized as the welcome service is.
