September updates

The September updates includes accessibility upgrades, UI changes to improve the overall experience while using April, in addition there has been bug fixed but there are still some issue to address. Over the course of the following months you'll be able to see changes on the UI of the dashboard that will increase the information available to you and make easier to configure the bot. At the end of the article there will be the planned changes on April like supporting multiple language, adding more commands etc.

Dashboard changes

Suggestions for roles & text channels

Are now available suggestions while your are writing your wonderful messages on the dashboard, so you don't have to get on Discord chat and try to get the mention of the channel. Once you type @ or # you'll automatically get the suggestions for your text channel or role that you may wanted to mention. If you don't want to mention the role just finish typing the word and the suggestions will just fade away. Remember that to get the mention of the role or channel you'll have to click on the suggestion that pop-up while you're writing.

Started supporting multiple languages

The translations for language is still proceeding but the root has been placed and is now just a matter of weeks before multi language is available. In few weeks you'll be able to switch to different language easily using the dropdown menu, the initial wave of supported language will include:

• English
• Italian
• Portuguese
• German
• French
• Spanish

More language may be added if enough interest is shown or you can add to suggestions channel and it may be considered.

Removed initial welcome message

April from now on will not send any message once it joins a new server instead it will wait for your orders! If you think this change should be reverted add to the suggestions channel

Autorole future plan

Autorole UI page has been update as plan of changing the UI of the whole dashboard, the broken links also have been fixed and errors are now more meaningful. Autorole has always been a popular service but it always has been a leftover but plans are now changing and it will receive a major update in the following months that will include how it works and its capabilities will be increased. For example it will be able to:

• Automatically assign role/s once the user status changes to Streaming and optionally remove it once the user status is back to normal
• Automatically assign role/s once a user join a voice channel and remove it once he/she leaves
• Automatically assign role/s once a user boost the server

More options can be considered if added to suggestions channel.

Fixed Selfrole

When creating a Selfrole it did not let create an ignored role or if it was created it was just an unknown channel, with the new update this issue has been fixed and you can now create new Selfrole with ignored channels. In addition the broken links has been fixed.

Known issues

Twitch monitor is giving some trouble and it won't announce the live stream of some streamer this issue is being investigated and in the following months the whole backend system will change and use a more reliable source to get live notifications. YouTube monitor is also giving some trouble like announcing multiple times the same video (happens some times) or announcing before a video is available (Premier) but for the rest the system seems to be stable and ready to get out of beta. If you are experiencing some issues while using the bot you can report it here report them.

What's next

In the followings weeks most of the administration commands will be removed instead there will be a !Dashboard command that will link back to the dashboard. Some of them will not be removed such as Welcome, Leaver, Prefix, Clear and Reaction role but all others will be removed.

Log messages events will be disabled temporarily due to some issue with available memory, once that it's fixed they will be back. Preparations will begin in the following weeks, and you'll be notified if you follow the announcement channel on the support server.
